Chicks & Chickens for your Backyard or Barnyard!

We are pleased to be partnering with Frey’s Hatchery again this year to provide quality poultry for backyard flocks and family farms in Pontiac and the greater Gatineau regions of west Québec.

Several breeds of chickens are available, from Red Sex-Links to Azure Blues to Silkies. Our most popular birds are day-old chicks (to raise egg-layers or meat) and ready-to-lay (RTL) hens, but we also have turkey poults, ducklings, and pheasant chicks.

Pre-orders are required, with monthly pick-up options at our farm in Luskville beginning March 18 and running through until September 9.

Note: not all birds are available for every pick-up.

Breeds & Pricing

Prices vary by breed, age, sex, and quantity. Transportation from the hatchery to our farm is $22. Small orders: add $8 for each age group with an order quantity of less than 10. All other details are included in the table below (also available as a PDF).

Pick-up Schedule

Frey’s Hatchery will delivery pre-ordered birds to Leystone once per month, according to the schedule below. We will do our best to keep this schedule up to date. Please note that your order will only be  finalized when we receive confirmation of availability from the hatchery, and payment from you.

To place your order, please consult both “breeds & pricing” and “pick-up schedule” (above) and complete the form below.
